Edgin towards playmini because of quality and iv been told they sound good.

I have the Playmini 2" bore. Can't fault it, other than its too loud on its own for a Normally Aspirated engine

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

ive got a few enquirys going out to maniflow and peco about making me a 2&3/4 inch one as im running that from the downpipe back. but the maniflow backboxes are meant to be very good if you havnt considered these already.

p.s. ive got a spare maniflow centre exit rolled end one which isnt being used for the reasons above you could have for next to nothing.

give me a pm if your interested.

We have a Peco exhaust on the van. it's wank. Sounds OK, but it's the wrong shape and just hits everything undereath. I've already chopped a couple of inches out of the middle in a vain attempt to get it to sit right. I smell and expensive trip to maniflow...

Playmini sounds good.

I read somewhere, not sure if it was theminiforum or minifinity that the RC40 is a bit restrictive compared to the playmini.

RC40 'bigbore'

What is meant by big bore? To me 'big bore' means that the overal system bore is larger than average, rather than just the tail pipe.

I do not know of an RC40 with anything larger than 1 3/4" bore, where as the Playmini bigbore is 2". Maniflow also do a 2" system. Fletcher is fairly new and pretty much a copy of the playmini, but im not sure of its bore.

Playmini have been around for years, and made THE original stainles large bore systems that everyone else likes to copy. If ts stainless you are after, Playmini is the one to go for, but if you are not fussed with the stainless, Maniflow would be the choice for anything over 100hp. The RC40 is a very good system, for the average engine pushing less than 100hp. there are no hard and fast rules, but if you have serious power, you need a bigger exhaust. I will be running a 2 1/4" system this year.

Lol, im rather decided on a Playmini now tbh as long as its alright for over 100hp, i dont see why not because its a 2" bore it should be alright?

Play Mini are for gays! They are shite and far too loud if you ever want to take your car to a track - Maniflow is where it is at!

I have a single box play mini on the estate, and with the turbo it is a nice medium noise, not too loud. On an NA car they are very loud unless you have a second box.

I have always liked them TBH

Hamster warmers lol - good to hear you have come out then Colin!!!

There is always a queue of PlayMini owners at Combe trying to buy additional silencers as too loud!
