Lib Dem all the way. Purely because I think their policies have the best to offer.

All IMHO of course.

I never thought I'd say it, but it's Lib Dem for me.

I come from a mining area so there's no way I cote vote Torry. I think Brown has done a descent job of sorting the recesion out and I'm greatfull that he kept me in a job, but it should never have been let get to that state in the first place, so that discounts Labour.

The rest of them are either irrelivant to me (like a welsh/scottish party), extreme or a wasted vote IMHO.

Well I have clicked lib dem, but I am still toying with Gordon. However, where I live is such a safe Tory seat I doubt anything will change.

I must admit, that I have no idea still at the 11th hour!

Policy wise, I would vote Green, but we do not have a Green candidate, just the three main parties and the BNP nazis.

Next best choise would be LibDem, but that may be a Tory vote if we get a hung parliament. I just do not trust Cameron - remember the sleeze of the mid 90s? Plus I don't agree with any of the Tory policies.

That leaves Labour. BUT our candidate is Phil Hope who was one of the headliners of the expenses scandal. However, I do feel that Labour are best placed to keep the recovery on track. Golden Brown is a safe pair of hands in my opinion. I also think that most of the current problems were set during Thacherism and the Blair/Bush years.

So LibDem or Labour - I just don't know :(

Saul Bellow - "A great deal of intelligence can be invested in ignorance when the need for illusion is deep."
Stephen Hawking - "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge."

Do you not think that the country would have got to the same position though no matter which party was in charge? After all it was a WORLD recession, really sparked off by the sub-prime lenders in the USA.

Personally I think that no matter who was in control we would have ended up in the deep stuff, and for what it is worth, Labour have done a reasonable job of trying to get the country stable again.

I'll probably be voting Labour- they are strong around here, worryingly the BNP are too, so for me it is voting for the popular party to ensure the fasicts don't get in.

IMO greed is the big problem, too many people obsessed with making money for themselves and not interested in the effects on everybody and everything else. It wasn't just the dodgy investments that caused the problems, artificial inflation of property prices and excessive irresponsible lending of the back of that. How many people have extended their mortgage to pay of their credit card? I've done in in the past.

Politicians are as guilty as the bankers, they had plenty of oppertunities to stop the banks. Who was in charge of the FSA?

Fair point about Labour and BNP in our area.

You don't need your polling card to vote

http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk/general_election_faq.aspx

You don't even need ID, but it may speed up the process. So no excuses, not everyone in the world is lucky enough to have a vote, you should use it.

I'm most likely voting conservative, I live in an area thats always had a large tory majority but i can see that changing as we've got a new guy this time, and tbh we don't know how good he will be. Cumbrians as a whole 'like what they know and know what they like' so an 'incomer' has a big task ahead of him
Labour and the lib dems are planning on slashing the roads budget and introducing charging on motorways and trunk roads (Libs only on that), both are not good news for me on a personal and business front :(
Apart from the big 3 we have BNP and UKIP candidates, we've had stuff through the door from the BNP but not UKIP, so no idea on who or what the UKIP lot stand for, as for the bnp, although i can see things i can agree with its the BNP for christs sake!!!
As for winky mcfucknut and his lot - never going to vote for them, even though i could see when they came into power 13 yrs ago it was time for a change.

I'm torn between ukip or libdem atm I prefer ukips policys but fear it wasted vote. I'm of the opinion that the gov needs a good shake up to remove some background deadwood left over from the usual 2 parties.

Our planned expansion of public transport will provide much-needed alternatives to private cars, and cut carbon emissions. However, in many places there will always be a need for car travel, so we need to ensure that it is as environmentally friendly as possible.

We will:

• Work through the EU for a zero emissions target for all new cars by 2040 and extend targets to other vehicles.

• Undertake preparations for the introduction of a system of road pricing in a second parliament. Any such system would be revenue-neutral for motorists, with revenue from cars used to abolish Vehicle Excise Duty and reduce fuel duty, helping those in rural areas who have no alternatives to road travel. Some of the revenue from lorries would be used to fund further extensions of high speed rail through the UK Infrastructure Bank.

• Introduce a rural fuel discount scheme which would allow a reduced rate of fuel duty to be paid in remote rural areas, as is allowed under EU law.

I didn't say they had the best policies to offer to me, i said they had the best policies to offer (i.e everyone concerned).

I think that being a car enthusiast is at odds with being concerned with environmental issues.

I think that the LibDem policy detailed above is sound and I don't understand where Alex is coming from.
