Brown FTW!

Come on Paul, everybody knows green engines are slow. Black is the real fast engine colour!

All these colours are useless without a red undercoat.

Hi there thanks for the comments, for more pictures of the build see them at http://s636.photobucket.com/albums/uu82/mish0o0/
The paint choice for the engine was random, except the block was the original metro red, i was gonna do the head red but whilst choiceing suitable paint ie 1200degree thermal paint i choice the blue as i liked the colour *happy*.
As for the colour of the car it is a original, 1980 BLMC Clubman 1275GT brown. I had the car resprayed and they used a paint scaner to match it. It has a awsome bronze colour in the sun :)
I would however in the future consider putting a bmw k series head on it, dreams are free :)

Nice car, MX5 seats- good choice.

I'd change the wheels though. the Rover minilights don't do the rest of the car justice.

Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

any ideas for more power?
would injection and more cam duration help?

What cam is in there?

EDIT: Just seen you specify it. Do you have any timing figures for it? Duration, lift etc?

I suppose you could up the cam duration and fit mapped ignition. I doubt that changing to injection would yield you anymore power than that weber.

EDIT: Have you had it on the rollers? If so what is it kicking out?
