not too many, because like me, most people who have supercharged, or planned to, have eventually worked out that it'll always be a sub standard alternative to a turbo....

What's this in aid of Matt?

+1 I'm on the dark side.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

That makes 2 of us as ours is running now;-D finally had a good day on the rollers.
just needs the mot in the next few days then need to run the engine in!!
its taken just under 3 years and a lot of money for the full rebuild but i thinks its worth it.

last time I saw Jonnys car was at Slark at the end of Jan, it wasn't going wonderfully to be honest. THey had issues with the power delivery when I was there, it was making 115bhp and 130lbft at about 7psi when they ran it on the rollers, but it was a bit savage and not really road friendly at all, despite the relatively low power.

Personally, I don't see how a pulley change will release the extra 50 or so bhp that's expected from this setup.....

Sad to say, but seeing Jonnys car is what made me forget my supercharger ideas and go down the turbo route

My word, a turbo charger, a supercharger and some gay horns. That's a busy old engine bay.

I personally knew of two local to me running Jokespeed engines, sadly both of them had very short lives.

We're running 90bhp at the wheels with ours running 8-10psi. All parts made by me. There is room for another 10bhp with future adjustments to the megajolt.

Cars very torquey with smooth power

Mine is almost done. Progress has ground to a hault so close to the end which has really pissed me off. Since the RR day Prawn mentioned, standard rockers and 17% reduced pulley have been fitted but a new smaller belt is needed and a larger exhaust. Its not been on the rollers since that shootout day. Am really tempted to collect the car and finish it myself but would need the MJ setting up properly and dont think there is anyone near or in swindon that could do it other than slarks. Not happy really. Just hope its all worth it

Interesting turbo and SC setup pete.

Are you going to switch between the two or have one blowing through the other?

Rob H,

The water jackets has stopped icing up, plus the hesitation we used to get when left to tick over for long periods of time, i.e. sat at traffic lights etc as completely gone way. Works a treat:)....
