Wondered why Shane was waving his hand in front of his throat when he drove past, that explains it!

Good to see everyone again, and sorry to Nick who I didn't see once again! Will hopefully see you at the rolling road day next week.

Got a few photos which I will upload later, mostly of the morning sessions.

First Big Thank to Nic for sorting the club stand, and for takin gme for a quick trip to the petrol station in his Mini, brutal when his car gets on boost.

Good to meet everyone, apoligies to those who I did not speak/introduce myself too I was trying to track down another friend at the show so disapeared for a bit, then lost track of time and had to go.

I enjoyied my session out on track, and the video I have needs alittle editing but it has my spin in it.

I saw you when you arrived Neil, but you were passing down near race control so I didn't stop to say hello.

I got my free entry pass, but didn't manage to find the turbo minis stand all day long! I walked around the entire paddock, and aside from one or two turbo's dotted about that I didn't recognise, I didn't see anyone!

Had a really awesome day though, got black flagged in one session due to my breather leaking fuel, sorted it and did another 2 sessions.

Saw Jim going around too, car looked awesome!

I'll upload some videos later. Endaf was quite a bit quicker than me, but the gps clocked us both over 120mph over avonrise, felt really quick. Glad to meet a few more of you guys

Well my day at coombe was good, I met up with longy matty and longy senior and did a bit of shopping. Then we went to the TM stand where we had a long chat with Nic and shane (which was more like inuendo bingo) I did not go out on the track today as I am keeping the MK1 good for next weekend. Anyway, off I set to come home and I was racing the satnav all the way home and I ran out of fuel 1/2 mile from home. Jo came to my rescue and when I got home I had a look under the bonnet and the alternater was sat at a funny angle.
You can see that the water pump blanking plate has broke / cracked. Oh well looks like I will be going to steel this week then.

Thanks nic and matty for all the turbo info every day is a school day.

I have seen this before. The cyclic loading of the alternator belt generates fatigue on the alternator mount on the water pump.

You would be better to make a tube spacer with a long bolt and also fix to the original mounting bracket that bolts to the block.

Oh bad time oli i looked for your car but didnt see it, it doesnt need an ecu cover it needs a vtr inlet and throtel body and 1.4 injectors and ecu it does bloody well on track but needs a little more power, maybe a cheap vtr lump from the scrappy for fifty quid.

Didnt see you on track though *smiley*

I had a pretty good day, though didn't get a chance yet again to say hi to many people due to spending most of the morning trying to get a clutch pedal that would last more then 2 laps. needed a tow after the 10:30 session as I lost clutch completely.

Got it sorted for the 1:45 session and went a bit mad, so absolutely gave the engine everything and and nearly ended up on the grass every time out of quarry and most other corners. My passenger was terrified for the first few laps!
