had the smaller machine gun in the pic as a personal weapon when i did "lumpen" over here in Sweden. Best thing was "D-max" on the shooting field=standing up full automatic from the hip rambo style tossing handgrenades and blowing mines and "sprängdeg" was good fun too:)

its afgan mate last year and the small gun is a GPMG 7.62. i had one to as my personal weapon when i was the NEW lad in Iraq i had big arms then.

I have seen some thing about that. THEY are not 1 para as 1 para are sfsg and i have some mates down there and i asked them and they all sad it was one a bees who pay lots of cash for kit to look like them.

Go on-line and search for Fire Support, they run two sites near to you, well one is RAF Upwood is an urban site and Bubly wood in Leicstershire is a woodland site.

a good friend of mine was in the marines a few years back, ive never seen such committment to get in, and at his passing out, ive never seen anyone more pleased with themselves

then he was stationed on a ship 2 miles offshore in the middle east with his squad, as an emergency quick responce team, living in a tiny room where they barely had space to all lie down at once, no windows/ventilation, rarely allowed out on deck, and couldnt train/exercise etc etc
was meant ot be for 3 weeks, but after 5 months of this existance, never seeing any action, and 2 stone heavier, he was so sick and bored, he was tempted to spark up a j in mess just to get disciplined, he reckoned the brigg would have been more tolerable

luckily he stuck it out, only to be stationed onshore slowly being eaten alive by camel spiders

as soon as he could he got out, and went down the route of private sector security
