Hiya

New here, seems a great forum - lots of knowledge here.

I have a Freestyle kitcar with a 998cc which I hope to turbo charge. I have a few bits and bobs in my parts collection (from a metro turbo), but I have a way to go yet.

Currently building looms and so on for the buggy, and trying to IVA it!

Hope to have a reliable 100hp when I'm done *happy*

Thanks,

Al

That looks like a lot of fun, don't think you'll run into the usual clearance problems with the turbo.
just thought you have have a high up intercooler like an RS200.

Wow! thanks for all the well wishing!

Think I'll aim to get through IVA without the turbo - juts to keep it simple :)

A friend of mine had a turbo Freestyle a few years ago - it was mental.
Not much use offroad as it just spun it's wheels and dug in, but was a belter up the strip when it was running right.

The (huge) intercooler was bolted to the rollcage as suggested above.

Nice project, if it were me and most on here if your going to turbo the 998 ditch the t3 its a rubbish turbo for the small bore, grab yourself a gt15 or something like that will be alot better *smiley*)

I'd love a buggy like this with the SVA kit and a monster turbo engine.

However I would probably only love it for about 15 minutes before I became attached to a lamp post.

I'm sure it would almost - though the front is a little wider than standard. A carbon fibre shell would be good on the top *happy*

I believe Dave still has all the jigs for them, so if you asked him nicely he might be able to knock one up.
I don't know what he did with the 4-seater one...
