Hi-Had a day off today and took my car up to bogg brothers to get it set up, got a very nice 70 year old guy doing it who was great, he did a few initial gentle runs and after some profiling of the std needle got the fuelling looking something like he also looked over the maps and we decided on a 22 degree map which John very kindly sent me a while back. Strapped it down and went for some runs on boost, bit more needle work,6-6.5 k rev limit and.....

Well for starters it seems my lowest boost (tiny amount of preload) is more like 10 psi not the 7ish I had intially thought I had so it looks like my actuator is a 10psi unit. As for power to be honest your guess is as fucking good as mine-look dont go jumping up and down on me for the sake of it-I can only tell you what I saw on the dials. First runs at 10 psi I saw it going up and around the 180-200 bhp mark but there was some wheel spin which was interfering, we tried with a bit more like 13/14 psi one guy in the car and one stood on each sill and it went off the end if the gauge at 240 bhp and was still wheelspinning, couldnt take things any further so after a test on the road we called it a day at that.

So make of that what you will.The chap did say there dyno is not a million miles off like some his words not mine-he also said it was the best mini engine they had ever seen on there and that the guy that built it(steve benross by the way) was either a genius or a lunatic or a combination of both, he was deeply impressed with the motor -aughing his head off on the rr-but said nothing about the rest of the car so that says a lot about me! Anyhow it drives much much better off boost and the afr is a nice 12-12.5 at full chat, may look at another rr session in the future to get a perspective. Even so-another massive thanks to Steve F for a great engine.

Yep great John-thanks again for the maps-it is a gt17, its great-seems to start boosting from around 2-2500 rpm

at such LOW Boost as well whats it going to make say at 18 or 20 psi my estimate is well........... the 280 mark....... i will make one with you oli for the easter bash beatle bashing

What's the spec steve or is it a secret one. Very impressive.

err-1293, accralite pistons, std but hardened crank(not sure on number) std rods, avobar ph2 cam, benross special head (he does good head-allegedly),ultralight flywheel,ap plate and grey diaphram,sc box and roller drops, 1.3 roller rockers, megajolt, gt17 and fiesta turbo pace intercooler-not certain on cr-Steve will be able to fill in the blanks/correct

that sounds quick, well done benross. would like to see an accurate print off of what it really kicks out.

Thanks everyone for the comments-as I have said above make of it what you will,thats what I saw and I did ask the operator several times if that was correct,I cannot comment on the accuracy of anything as I have nothing else to benchmark it to, I am not one to make stuff up if that is what is being suggested-never entertained that sort of person and never will,Steve himself said there are some rolling roads that would get 30 bhp from a pram!, I would say that another rr session somewhere else may throw something different up and may be an option for the future.
