They look very similar to the SH Engineering ones to me. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

would you use on a turbo set or more for a n/a set up being that it is light 1293 Turbo mini

Hmm i was about to ask the same thing, seeing as a N/A setup produces high rpm and low torque, where a turbo produces torque but lower rpm, and seeing a lightweight flywheel takes away some torque storage, this wouldn't be such a problem on a turbo engine, as the turbo would make up for some lost torque, it will affect some drivability though.

I would beware of that!! they look very shiny which is a bad sign here. Do you remember the Swiftune flywheels that failed? they where made in EN24 and was a copy to the SH design flywheel. Swiftune could not get them to last and added material close to the center. SH have never had one fail due to a couple of small processes afterwards. one of them which make the flywheel get a dull finish (I guess you know the process then...) |

If the tuftriding isnt deep enough especially where the clutch plate comes into contact it could wear.

SH also shot peens his flywheels around all the stressed areas. Obviously not done on the one pictures at least. I know Swifty did not do this, at least not on the flywheels I saw pictured. |

I saw these, spoke to Carl over a cuppa and gave my money to minis ares, it then went to Carl for balancing, it was very close too.. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
