i had a brilliant time at minis vs beetles even though they won. camped out all weekend and it were absoulutly frezzing, muddy and wet.
i managed to get 22 runs in and could have done more if i had more petrol(doh).
ive not done much drag racing especially on a wet and muddy track, the best time i got was 16.11 so i was happy with that i suppose.
watching the rear wheel drive cars trying to keep it straight were funny to. on the sunday a supra spun off the start and hit the barrier smashed his bumper headlamp bonnet etc, bet he were gutted.
me car ran well all weekend to didnt even blow a head gasket this time either. (unlike some1, hope you got home ok feebs)
hope its 2 days next year.i had a good go at the vtec mini and the 2ltr vauxhall engine 1 too nearly had the vauxhall one, he won by about half a car lenght
iain we could defo do with some fliers or cards or somot for the site theres tons of turbo people out there that dont know about the site( how about doing a flyer we can all download and print off and take with us to shows meets or what eva)
ive got some pics and a couple of vids ill try and upload them sometime.
if any1 didnt recognize my car it was the red/white/black and grey scud bucket with no bonnet on and a big daft intercooler on

what number was you feebs doesnt matter i cant find that slip, couldnt tell how close it was as i dont look behind me when racing

any way it doesnt matter if you win by an inch or a mile

feebs i know why ive not got a slip for us WE DIDNT RACE each other!! i was M10 on monday. you said you wanted to race me but we never ended up next to each other
m5 was the other red mini a guy from my club i raced him 3 times
any way id have won if we hadda raced

LOL at TD, im not bothered if im the "slowest mini" at avon this year its just a good laugh

Good idea mate, ill knock something together that fits say 3 on one A4 sheet. hand them out as you like then!

been working hard on it again tonight to try get it to avon. going to have to keep plodding away!

York was good though, grip seemed very poor but got better by about 3pm. still didnt seem great but it was very cold.

Thought that blue one was a turbo, sounded like it but was hard to tell. very quick!!
remember seeing it last year.

Crail is around 130 miles from me I havnt been but is simiar distnce to York I live near Dumries South West Scotland.Any ideas when there is a meet at Crail with minis?

no idea on mini meets, but your best to go on a non-mag day (get plenty of runs, and no fannys) . i wil prob be takin my mini up this sunday, its a mag day, but as the minis jstu been built i dont wana put to many runs under its belt anyways.

theres always a mini or 2 at crail. for mini events prob best to keep an eye on the miniclan website or any other scottish club :)

heres something i just noticed on the york raceway results page ,
ian jonson ran a 12.86 on a 1.900 sec 60ft.
i run a 12.80 dead on a 1.84 sec 60ft ,
if you deduct his 60ft from his ET and do the same to mine we end up with identical times, now how oftern do you see that .lol
