And the parents cars just shit itself on the way back from picking me up, so had to be towed home.
Ive just lost £600 out of my pocket, and it looks like the parents are gonna have to be shelling out for something similar. Water pumps knackered, and the cam belts slipped from the water flicked around by it.

Days like these you just feel like throwing yourself off a cliff :/

Im not going to see anything from any sort of insurance either, as i left it outside my local bike shop for FOUR minutes before it got stolen. Ive id have planned on going there in the first place id have taken the car, so didnt take a lock with me, kept my eye on the bike through the window too. Ill just have to forget about it and carry on.

Ive already reported it to the police, the bike shop had cctv footage, i actually ended up watching them nick my own bike, they walked round to try and avoid being seen, stood for about 6 seconds by the front door, then pulled it off the top of my mates bike and rode off as the other one ran off. theyve got fucking nerve, its likely ill find out who stole it cos my mom works in the local school.

bad times man, hope you get it back!

i remember when i was about 13 my bike got stolen from my garden. it was a bright yellow raleigh.

few days later went down to local chinese takeaway to get some food, and it was outside sprayed blue with blue overspray covering everything! the guy inside ordering must have stolen it so i just took it back without confronting him and walked back to my house with it lol *hehe!*
very cheeky!

Today, i saw the thieving bastard on my bike. Got home from work and decided to have a drive about to see if i could see it. Saw the two lads that nicked it riding my bike and a bmx, turned round in the car and went to follow to head them off, but because of traffic i saw them dissapear up a road. I think i have an idea of who it is, and the street it resides in, but dont know exactly. The police have been notified of its whereabouts by me and i saw quite a few marked cars around shortly after the phonecall. Going to keep staking out where i last saw my bike, as now ive seen it again im determined to get it back.

Good luck mate, I hope you get it back.

I used to live at a farm, had all my
Mini stuff in a barn. Gippo's broke in and took £4k's worth of bits, tools 4 sets of wheels etc. No insurance... We fitted an alarm after that. Makes you think about your actions in the future.

Good luck!

Ive just got my bike back, one of the local bmx kids tipped me off and i went and confronted the chap, and he simply handed it over. It wasn't the lad who nicked it, and some bits have been changed for worse off chav tat, but at least i have it back

Thanks chaps, pays to know a lot of people and be persistant. Its a bit worse for wear, but a new back wheel ( needed one anyway) new seat because i simply do not want the one thats on it, because it isnt mine, new chain because the one put on is orange and turd, i had a decent sram one on there, few scuffs to cover up, new sprocket again. As they've put a crap rasta coloured ganga leaf thing on, i need a whole new rear disc setup, again :/ and they've proper scuffed up my brand new renthal bars, i hate scuffed bars :( it looks as if they hacksawed the new brake lever off. I still dont get why they ripped off my perfectly setup and brand new back brake, and put a shit non working front one on using the old disc :S

Sound like proper pikeys, they usually just do a really shit paint job to hide it. Its still better than not getting anything back though!

Just been and took a picture of it after removing the tasteless 'mods'

Need to take a look at the forks as i have play between the fork body and the stanchions that wasnt there before, so ill get my mate who works in a bike shop to investigate for me.

This was the state of the bike when i got it back, Obviously this doesnt show the state of disrepair the bike was in, but check that sprocket o.O

I've had 2 bikes nicked but luckily I was insured and got a better bike each time they got nicked, started off with a £500 bike Claud Butler, ended up with a £1k Kona Cowan. I did have to pay excesses etc but worked out alright, just the cheek of it that anoys me.
