I look at this picture and wonder why people bother squeezing in non A series engines. All just amazing looking.

Thats about the number of engines we have here most weeks - the grey one is a chap from the Northwest, the 8v 1050 is my mate Darrens, goldie's and the red one is a 1430 LT cammed in a Minor - heres a pic in its home - how cool is that! backed up by a 5 speed Ford. Now then what we need is one of these RWD's with the Rotrex strapped onto it!

they work the same as they do on any other engine but with it not being a positive displacement supercharger you get the lag feeling from a turbo and the boost restrictions as a say an m45 charger that could be why you was 'steered' away from them?

Yes i moved to the darkside *happy*

one of our kits in a Moggy being built by the owner (Fred) in Aust , getting turbo-d

we`ve sold a few kits to Spridget owners too,

funny enough when we started selling our kits i didn`t even give the rear drive fraternity a thought, but now there`s quite a few of em *smiley*

The Rotrex is ideal for the 16v Mini, the Eaton's are simply not the right blower for a 16v motor to produce power in a linear fashion like this - no contest

apart from goldies engine you'll not have seen a torque/power curve like this one - more revs = more torque and an exponentially increasing power output - all at low top revs - by far and away the strongest K motor this side of goldies all out turbo there is - and it'll drive like an 850 mini when you want to. These are genuine engine dyno figures - we don't bull.

this is a 1310cc engine on a 10.2:1 comp - hence healthy torque and driveability at the bottom end.
stage 1 gasflow
LT 254 deg cams
billet individual throttles
billet plenum
440cc inhectors
SC Typhoon ecu
2.5psi at 2500rpm 9psi at 6500rpm

add a steel bottom end and 8000/8250rpm capability and you'll have a genuine road driveable 220+hp motor

It does go like a stabbed rat!! It's also very drivable which was what I was after! My turbo engine before before was like a bomb going off, great if you can keep it in a straight line but you'd need the planets to align or a pair of slicks for that!

This solves all my problems and it's usable power and torque.

Great job by the team at SC. Look out for a feature in Mini Magazine shortly. *smiley*
