need to order some big end bearings for a crank i dont know the size of, know its been reground but dont know to what size (+10 or whatever), have contacted the previous owner of my engine to see if he knows as he built it first time round, if no joy there how can i find out? |

btw - to help out (and for future reference) 40 thou is almost exactly 1mm - If you're picky it's somet like 40.5 thou=1mm, but i challenge anyone to measure half a thou repeatedly!!!

Most digital mics measure .0001".That is a 1/10th of a thou.

I'll have to agree with you on this one Mr Dangerous the mic set i have can read down to 0.0001" off the vernier scale and this one even reads to 0.00005" and for only ?162 cheap as chips..

presuming +10 means it will be 10thous of an inch smaller then?
