I know theres many ways to remove a windscreen....but I'm shite at most I've tried, resulting in breakage. Like to keep the window and rubber in tact..........any thoughts?

At a push you can do it alone with the feet method from inside. Screen should gently pop out at one corner then you can get at it from the front

A brick works for most windows really..

Although fixed rubber windows really are easy to remove. Getting that bastard chrome bit back in when refitting isnt though !!
Frost sell a little tool for it I think. Buy it.

I never had one when I did mine, and it took hours to get it back in.

Treat all rubbers equally, only use them once.

Just cut around the glass behind the beading strip with a knife and it all comes out nicely. Cheaper to replace the rubber than the glass if it all goes tits up :)

Good point.... I've never had any problems with Mini ones but broke a Metro one taking it out (usuall foot method), bought a brand new seal because I thought the old one had gone hard so caused the failure, then cracked my £10 scrappy replacement putting it in with the new seal....

The Metro seals don't have the removable filler strip so are less flexible - well that's my excuse....

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

Metro. The screen is heated type too :)
Could cut the rubber, if replacements are still available. Fitting a windscreen I've never had issues with. A length of wire and hey presto! *happy*

They are the same, but availability is still poor.

I got mine of the internet (NOT eBay) a couple of years ago - ( I'll see if I can find the supplier). It was over £30 though, just for a bit of rubber.

Just googled it, quite a few coming up. As the car is a toy, hasn't got to be perfect.
