i have asked a couple of the forums i visit now but i thought i might ask you lot on what second car would be right for me

currently i have

classic mini currently off the road and having work done
Lupo 1.0e

i use the lupo as a daily and for a few long trips every now and again,

but now that i have 3 years NCB under my belt i was looking for something that doesnt seem so much of a first car! and has a little bit more power then 50bhp!

throw your ideas at me if you can think of anything my budget is about 1k for the car give or take a bit

so far a few things are off the list

subaru justy
charade

the mini is quite far from finish currently without the rear subframe fitted,

was thinking of getting another mini but would prefer a late mpi

was looking for a estate but a round nose

but very true very expensive at the moment even for piles or rust!

would love something small light and easy to convert to a turbo or something that already has a turbo

Or for when you want to have fun strip the lupo, my pug stripped out runs 17.6's and 0-60 is 5 seconds quicker than the book time for it does well at combe too, for everyday it has full interior and does 400+ miles to a tank of fuel cheap and fun if you want it to be

if your looking for something with a bit more get up and go, i'd look at one of the turbo diesels. Should be cheap enough to insure and easily tunable. Cheap to run as well

I dont bother with that hassel of roof lining, just seats, spaire, glove box front cover, once the back box when it had to be changed so the exhaust was loud lol, rear carpets and sound deadaning seat belts ect all you can put back in easaly not roof lining, just easy bolt off bits, then if you want it for carrying people just put it back in only takes ten mins.

nice - the wife had her MX5 for over 5 years and loved every minute of it. We've had the TT for 3.5 years and she still misses the MX now

so a 1.7tdi lupo is more to insure than a 1.6 MX5?
