Good morning everyone

Time has come for me to get some adjustable lower arms, i currently have some heavy duty adjust tie rods from mini spares in the bronzey gold colour and i want to get some lower arms to match or that are good quality

I have seen the minisport ones which are the same colour and are on car adjustable but i am reluctant to get these as they are minisport

any ideas or views on good quality adjst lower arms, im not to fussed it they are bushed type or rose jointed

cheers paul

I'm in the same boat mate. Been looking at the different options and also not keen on minisport. Anyone got any opinions/recomendations?

the minispares ones are excelent, and you can swap between rosejoints or bushes.

http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?ty=...id=34604&title=

also they put the rosejoint at the right angle unlike arms like these...

I've got the Minispares ones. Just about to swap the bushed ends for rod ends.

I'm really happy with them.

There is only one option. These:

Or fitted with uniballs of course.

Well I have the rose jointed minispares items on mine and they have to hang onto my 16" wheels under some fairly agressive corner taking and they have not loosened one bit

Make sure there on car adjustable as vegards link.

Imagine putting the gauges on then having to unbolt the lower arm to wind the rose joint out onlt to find out when you get it all back together uve gone too far so have to dismantle it all again???
Plus you have half a turn of thread for adjustment wheres the on car are infinate adjustment. simples.

I bought the Minispares arms, since they look similar to the standard arms, and, they look much lighter than those boat anchors Minispaeed and Hudersfield shiney spares sell.

If you like the Minispeed ones because they are gold, you need to buy the Minispares ones and paint them with Eastwood gold cad.

One british winter would see the gold sacrifice itself anyway

I thought the gold colour was due to an anti rust coating?

i actually bought the minispeed type from minits i think, at the time the only other adjustible that were available were the chopped up standard type with the rose joint section welded on and i was not keen on welded cast arms, as i said they do the job and do it well so cant complain they also still look tidy after 6-7 years i think

That gold colour is a cadmium plating. Its uses is strictly prohibited in the EU excepting some aerospace and military applications. this is because of the nasty process of the plating itself. So the likelyhood of any cadmium plated parts being manufactured in the EU never mind the UK is slim. The thickness of plating is also debatable. Only enough plate to make them shiney and look good at the time they go on the car. One british winter will soon see that gone since the cadmium works similar to zinc, in that it sacrifices itself to protect the metals below.

Have you noticed how even zinc plated stuff these days starts to rust real quick too.

Wolfie, your's might still look ok since they are a good few years old, before the cad plate became an EU outlaw, and i'll be they never seen one salty winter road *wink*
