Thinking of building something new, Ill be keeping the head cos its just far too good to sell.

1380 A+ block 4 bolt centre main and line bored, drilled for 5/16 sump bolts,
x drilled, wedged, back drilled, bladed turbo crank with small amount of fretting on taper due to not running a damper,
Swiftune fully worked A+ rods, ARP bolts,
Omega forged offset dish 7cc pistons with lightweight thinner ring pack, fully floating pins,
Billet x drilled 310 scatter cam,
Swiftune lightweight drilled followers,
Swiftune half alloy vernier cam timing set.
It is very driveable pulling from 3,200rpm and revs way past 9,000 with no complaints on road or track. I have driven it through 30 speed limits in 3rd gear then been able to accelerate hard.

This was last rebuilt 2 years ago by myself and with my cylinder head it showed 155 Baldwin bananas and is ready to race. You guys know its a top notch engine from the times that it runs down the 1/4.

Any ideas on value? trying to decide whether its worth selling or keeping as a spare

Paul

I seriously doubt it!

i think it would make more in parts than what i would pay for a used short block

or maybe re worded, i think it would sell faster for a decent amount in parts otherwise to sell as a whole your waiting for that right person who wants exactly what it is
i dont think i could put a price on it, its worth whatever someone will pay and im tight as fook *happy*

What about trying to sell to a hill climber or something? All they would have to do then is whack a head and box on it, alot of people have heard or seen your car and seen its performance

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Could be worth a fair old amount to the perfect buyer, finding/ waiting for the perfect buyer is going to take time.

I would love to leave you all guessing but you'd just be dissapointed when I turn up with it (IF I do it).
So it'll always be A series, 5 port n/a with a turbo crank class C at Avon

I seriously doubt it!

You can't offset grind an A+ turbo crank due to the rolled fillet's *wink*
