The mini's power/weight must be better? - and it's set up properly for track use, too?

An under-steering imprezza vs a sorted mini...

I'll go for the mini.

Ding Ding, Round one....

Rough workings out says my mini has 360bhp per tonne and the impreza 202bhp per tonne....

The mini on the current gearing revs out where as the Impreza is good for 140mph.

We will see...a bit "stiggish"..

Would make a bloody good excuse to get a long to the charity day at combe later in the year..

see. told you that the mini power to weight ratio was stacks higher *happy*

guess it all depends on track length (well the fast sections) and how long the mini looses out as its sat on the rev limiter.

I know scruffy says he can keep up with virtually anything rounnd the tighter tracks, his car is well sorted though.

Some interesting views..

I reckon the mini will pip it to the post.

But i will drive both very hard in an honest test to each other.

The brakes on the Subaru should be ok as they are alloy 4 pots on bigger discs, the mini runs an "S" set up with crossdrilled and race pads.

Regards Combe being twisty..not realy?..Quarry is a long sweping bend with some odd cambers, the two chicanes can be almost straightened with the correct line...and Camp, well!..keep your foot in if you dare to maintain speed for a 1/2 mile staight with a very fast kink(folly)...

Looking forward to it.....

Nope, my trusty old B reg XR2 tow car/hack used to get get treated to combe now and again, then it used to tow the mini home!!

Now that thing understeered unlike the F reg one i had when F was new!!

A certain Mr Austin i recall!...and why not.

I took an 1100cc 1971 Clubman around Combe on hydrospastic suspension and 165 Camacs...was still alot of fun!!
