A mate of mini recently bought a single skin one from abs. Hinge indents are there and it's more than man enough for the job.

TBH I don't think there is very much (if any difference) in weight between FG and carbon, so unless your going for exposed weave carbon probably wouldn't be worth the extra cost. O right, I thought CF was stronger? also it will be sprayed to keep the car looking as it is. simon. I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

In that case get fg, for the purpose of a bonnet and boot it's not worth the extra cost On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

I have a double skin boot from TDK (Only place I could find that did a double skin MK3+ lid). That's fitted with standard hinges and catch. Fit looks good.

CF is stronger, but with regards to the boot and bonnet, I can't see the need for having any substantial structural strength, especially as you have a steel front end. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

I might sell it and buy a new FG one that doesn't have any holes as it would be easier for me. If you're going to sell it, I might me interested. PM me some pics if you do. Cheers |
