I am after a set of gauges, boost oil temp oil pressure and possibly water temp, I currently have cheapo shit electronic autogauge ones, to be Frank, there shit, but that's why they are £20 odd each. These have put me off electric gauges to be honest, could not seem to wire them in properly. I would prefer mechanical, but let's see what you have to say. I thought about getting all aem gauges, no real wiring, just plug and play, but there just a bit too expensive

What make do you have? What do you reccomend/avoid?

I had autometer from the states, if you buy all of them there worth it, I had speedo, tach, boost, oil pressure, water temp, so after the import tax and shipping it worked ot fairly cheap still, got them from summit racing.

I was looking at the stack ones, the cheaper range seem to go from £35-£50 each, don't seem too bad.

Thanks both of you, my bad.

Andy I like the racetech gauges, they do dual gauges at a reasonable price too...

Oil pressure & oil temp
Water temp
Boost

Means I can have 4 gauges in a 3 gauge dash, without having another pod on the dash, there also all mechanical

My aem is in a pod on the dash, right in front of me, much better position for glancing and you can see the colours in the corner of your eye so you know what's happening

I have room for 3 gauges on the dash, but I would like oil temp, oil pressure, water temp and boost, the racetech dual gauge just sorted that problem out.

you may struggle with senders for the race tech oil/coolant temp sensors as they are 3/8 bsp. I have the coolant in the sandwich plate under the thermostat and the oil in the extra sensor hole on my mph block.

I have the right drill and tap- goes straight into the sandwich plate

The aem ones are great, nit sure I can justify spending £400+ on 3 gauges

Andy I realised they are different, I just assumed there are adapters out there. I was planning on putting the oil temp and pressure into my sandwich plate and water temp into a dsn heater take off blanking plate with 5/8unf thread for sensor, not sure if adapters exist..

Oil temp 1/8bsp>1/8npt adapter
Oil pressure 3/8bsp>1/8npt

Water temp 3/8bsp>5/8unf

How thick is your oil sandwich plate? might be able to drill/tap it out to 3/8 bsp as the sensor needs to be in the flow of oil.

Oil temp is 3/8bsp
Oil pressure is 1/8 npt/bsp. 1/8npt is 1/8 bsp as near as makes no difference.

Had a browse on eBay and there are 3/8bsp>m12, dsn sell one in m12 also so that's water temp sorted.

1/8bsp is nearly 1/8npt so oil pressure is sorted

Andy not sure on sandwich plate, I could try drilling it out though.
