Welcome aboard!

How much power does your metro push. Daz in Barnsley may be a bit of competition for you with his motor.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Hmm not sure if Daz has pushed his quite that hard. It certainly has the potential though 1.8 turbo-k

292.8bhp and Daz has a little less, 220bhp last time he went on the rollers

How useable is 292bhp in a fwd metro? Surely itd be anyhow without the toys, just drag racing on the intended use?

i dont run it at that level on the road its only 220bhp which is no problems at all to get down

PG1 box with quaife diff

But other than being loud (only as its stripped) its easy to drive, drove to snowdon from Bournemouth in the wet and didnt have a problem

I guess it's simular to my 259bhp in a 560kgs mini, insane on the road on full boost, but amazing fun on the track

just had a read through your build, I like the way it's grown into 300bhp monster :)

thanks its taken its time and had a few issues but there arent many high power k series engines out there so its a bit of hit and miss every so often if the clutch holds she should do 330bhp and 260lbft

Have a track day 16th March at castle coombe to see what she can do, then santa pod on the 31st March to try and get in the 12s

Starting again i would have done a 1646cc 80mm bore 82mm crank 8.5:1 CR a std exhaust cam, 285H inlet, VVC Head and an EFR 6258 (even though you cant get one) and be about 350bhp and 275lbft

But it would be in an elise *wink*

For now i am thinkin VVC mini then possible
