I just decided to insure mine separate to my traders policy to get an agreed value. Declared everything, stupid engine, de-seamed, mod suspension, mod brakes, mod engine management the lot. 13K agreed value. 3000miles p.a. Adrian Flux - £230 |

That's not that bad, mine was just under £500 when I insured a 998 at 20.

I'm 24 and just forked out £423 to insure mine with hic, could have got it cheaper with flux despite them being the same company or whatever it is. I am also covered if I smash it on a track day, which clinched that deal. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

Agreed with Carl, I'm 18, 19 in May, my astra van is £1700 and my turbo mini was £2800 before I took it off the road, I'm hoping it will drop when I insure it again. Audi s4 b5 - 470bhp & 486ft lbs

It's been a while since I had a Mini to insure but HIC were the cheapest by far. It was £320 with loads of mods, I was 23 at the time. When I was 20 I was paying just short of £500 to insure my stage 1 998 with some body mods, that was with Lancaster. I was also paying £600 to insure my Audi 80 2.8 quattro. I think what you have been quoted sounds cheap, I wouldn't have complained at paying that 5 years ago and we all know how much more expensive insurance has got in that time. |

means they can charge what they want and get away with it

that was with no volentry excess. What i have found is use one company try then a few times you will find it cheaper each time then after a while it will go up, if you save the quotes then you go for the cheapest jobs done
