That's amazing value isn't it? Looks nice, but the only advantage I can see over the SC 7 port is that it is built for a 998 and therefore no pockets.

You'll also notice, unlike the Arden and Westlake it uses 5-port cams.

Think I'll stick with the 7-port though.

I'll bet that detonates at 14 degrees ATDC, that is if he can get the compression ration low enough lol

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

bore spacing on th Zetec head is way off.

Modern engines use big bores and relativly short strokes in comparison to the A series.

Anything with a bore of no more than 74mm could be a candidate.

He mentions fitting a zetec thermostat/housing to the CNC'd head, not a zetec head

This is FORD country, on a quiet day you can hear Vauxhalls rusting.

Looking at this more the compromise in the design id the exhaust ports.

There are no photos of the exhausts, but my feeling is they will be small and thus a 7-port may actually be optimum with the available space.

Who know though.

There is one pic of an exhaust port, and its just one port. I found it odd that there is no picture of the whole exhaust side of the head. It also looks like the outside exhaust ports are angled out which will make header fabrication fun... to bad i just ordered my SC-7 probably would have considered giving this a try if it doesn't take a year before its on the shelf. I just really like the fact you dont have to pocket the block.
