One thing to take note of in a 51'plate is the gearbox, its not very strong and prone to breaking. If you can look for a facelift mobel r53 about an 03 plate. They put a new gearbox in ot that is a lot stronger. The turbo build has finally started |

Not sure of it's relavence to you, but an 04 1.6 mini one is around 4k at the moment.

hmm i drove a mates cooper s running 250 on stock internals, didnt feel like that much power because of the car weight

Lost 1st gear on mine only 6 weeks after buying it. Fortunately I'd got it from a dealer so it was covered on the warranty, so I now have a full new box and clutch - not often you come out tops against a second hand car salesman  To be fair, he was great about it and repaired it without a quibble.
