I'm not bothering, they weigh 5KG plus hoses and extra coolant. I am having a heated screen though.

I never had one in mine, a combination of a turbo sat in the bulkhead and a snugly fitting bucket seat ment it was allways warm even in the winter.

Never had a problem with steaming up, car had all its glass in and a carpet with two buckets.

On the other hand, a heater would help with the cooling of the engine with the extra water and ability to get rid of some heat.

Why not one of these, lightweight and will be much better than no heater:

I'm going to bin my heater. It doesn't really do much now that the demisting stuff is gone.

Bin it, especially if you're not running carpets etc.. as the heat from the exhaust tunnel is more than enough..even when you don't want it!

I'd personally keep it unless your building a lightweight racer. I've probably used mine more as a secondary cooling system than a heater

I'm keeping mine, they may be heavy but they're extremely efficient. In both heating yourself and cooling the engine. So I'm making the effort to fit it.
I'm gonna be removing the flap and switch, and fitting an on/off variable resistor thing for more control over fan speed, as in the winter I'll get baking hot, turn it off then go freezing really quickly.

hmmm. if you need to use your heater to cool your engine, then maybe your cooling system needs looking at...

Those 12v heaters are completely focking useless, you genuinely get more hot air when you breathe out, dont waste £10.

Anyone think a group buy could be worth looking at with the T7 heaters?

no heater for me but I have kept the matrix plumbed in and fitted behind the front grille for extra cooling.
