sory lads not about a mini but i just had a right result.

just bought a nissan 200sx 1.8turbo rwd (1989) out of the scrap yard i work at. gave my boss ?200 for it as the lump was supposed to be cream crackered. put 2new plugs in, changed 1 coil pack and repaired the turbo return oil pipe, n she runs like a gem. roughly 110-120bhp at the rear wheels.

shes so scary when she comes up on boost. she also took me up to 140mph last nite n was still pulling, ended up pushing a 2.9 v6 sierra estate outa my way! 0-60 is 7seconds!

Oh this is the 1st rwd car ive ever driven so it may not last long, and at 19 my right foot feels rather heavy. lol!

Glad you are pleased with it, I can remember the first time I got something with plenty of power, go steady or you will end up with no drivers license or even worse.

Great RWD fun for pennies - I had a 2.8i Crapi at 18, similar amount of fun, and makes you feel invincible. Skill and speed are very easilly confused! Mine ended up being wrecked - but on the banger-racing track i might add!

Whats c20letmini's problem, 1976_mini has got a cracking find for only a couple of hundred quid.

So why start knocking someones great find that they are really pleased with? I dont understand why u would start slagging it off.

But then i spose ure mates got one that you helped him build, so therefore u must be an expert in 200sx's.

Whats wrong with 110 at the wheels, what are u comparing it to? Do you have some fancy rwd drift machine - lets see it then?

No one wanted your input or asked for it in anyway, some young lad has a cracking car for 200quid so what start slagging it off.

But what i dont get is, everyone else is saying fair play, watch the back end etc and u just march in here, mr know-it-all and start on about what is good and what isnt.

yep, sell your £200 RWD turbo car that will spit it's mains out any minute (like it's not done in the last 100K+miles) and drive a scooter like that fat tongued chef for 2 years whilst you save up to buy a half-reasonable sierra cosworth that doesn't need a grand spending on it straight away.

A much better option.

Oh god, ford boys are all the same. c20letmini - as people have said, he's 17. Some of us have had much worse.

As for Skylines, I bet all those inferior skyline owners are just kicking themselves for missing out on your car.

As for blinkers, I certainly don't have them, I still wouldn't drive a Ford.

personally i think the 200sx is a great car to introduce you into RWD turbo cars especially at £200 (surely you cant go wrong there), i very nearly bought one before i decided to build my own car instead. and if it eats the mains well here's 2 options 1. scrap it "oh no im out of pocket £200 for all the fun i had with my new car" or 2. try and find an SR20DET from an S14 or S14A 200SX and drop that in, a more reliable, more powerful engine.
