Glad to see I'm not the only one in awe of how things used to be done, and equally disheartened by the demise of the balls (or perhaps just the ability) to just fucking make stuff happen, instead of beancounters just browsing on alibaba and getting it from India or China, Edited by turbodave16v on 15th Nov, 2012. Great film. Have you seen the new aircraft carriers being built in this country? Plenty of skills and manufacturing still to be found, people seem happy just to spout the same old stuff without looking at what we still do. Watch that film and even then the comment is made that we still have craft. Implying that in the 50s people were no different to now and always look to the good old days. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk

Well there are certainly daft examples of health and safety being used a an excuse. We have lots of daft rules in our office. But when used properly, which it is normally, then it is very good and saves injury and lives. The thing is that when it works best you barely know it is there. It is when people tell you to take an empty box of a filing cabinet because of health and safety. What they really mean is it is a mess, tidy it up, but they somehow think it is better to drag health and safety into it. http://www.twin-turbo.co.uk
