Some nice 9600rpm action, from a little 1050...
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

11k isn't bad for a race winning engine (if it is) If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

As with all such engines, they are built for a reason. I'm sure it could be built for less though.

Paul you might as well compare how much it costs to build a big block v8 In a garden shed haha, your comparison is irrelevant :/ how much would you say is a fair price? race winning engines from decent company's cost money end of... If you can do better for less then get building mate Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

Some of these race spec engines to meet regulations have a hige markup on them just because they can it seems very unfair imo most pointless post ever really. how can you compare matt woods engine to something that's built to regulation race spec. most of the time these engines are built by companies for rich people to win; building a race winning engine to historic regs takes time and time = money. Yeh money could be saved if done in a shed but it wasn't. I've seen a friend build his race engines to historic regs and he measures it more times than i know what and to stupid thou tolerances. It even shocked me how much those engines cost to build but when you see the time it does make sense. Edited by t@z on 6th Feb, 2013. |

They have something like an 1120 cc limit, rev to 10k and put out over 140bhp. That's called classic grass track bullshit. No doubt they're great engines, but not that great. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Interesting the engine is heard slowing down at 1m21s and yet the throttle is still full open?
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

As rick said, 9600rpm is for girls, will be mapping mine up to 10k in a few weeks, this will be still on 5 port head, with back to back test of EFI and 45 carb On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:

Stupid money is spent on these cars, especially to go around a dirt oval!! Good to look at though and I'm sure they all think I'm mad for spending time and money going up short bits of hill chasing a time! I admit, I've spend too much money on my class 4 engine, it' s not got 140bhp though, and it did with the british and national championships in the same year, not with me driving though :( On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
