My brother runs their ultra light flywheel and alloy back plate on his MG Metro Cup car. The quality of it's outstanding and I think it's also the lightest pre-verto flywheel you can get. Edited by Tupers on 10th Mar, 2013. |

Yes the pre verto ultralight looks nice. Has anyone tried them?have just built a 1380 turbo with compression ratio of 8.1:1, also using a big t3 hybrid, one of these might make the engine and turbo spin up a bit quicker, not sure what it would idle like though especially with the low compression and one.of these very light flywheels?? |

Mike also had to get quite a bit of work done to the setup he bought from this company. I believe he sent him some constructive feedback. Not sure if it was implemented? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

oneeye has one of the original MED verto's that was about 2.4 kg, thats fine on the road, so this should be ok at a bit less.

Yeah, but the early ones were really light, they didnt do that many of them, supposedly they could ovalize when the ring gear went on or somthing. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

i think the first ever rts ,was around 4lbs heavier ,for the whole assembly with plate ,than a pre verto ultralight minispares setup . Edited by robert on 11th Mar, 2013. Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM |

There must have been some serious lightening work done on that cast flywheel then robert. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

I very much doubt Jonspeed make them. Re-sell is probably closer to the mark. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Oh. The problem with the early MED verto flywheels is that the interference fit ring gear was interfering so much that it distorted the angle of the lugs.
