Hello chaps,

Time has come around to re-insure my mini. What fun.

So; who is good and/or cheap at the moment? It's not a turbo yet, so I think Adrian Flux's renewal was a effin' joke at £500pa.

HIC get it on a classic policy.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Same company as AF, so they won't quote.

I just got insured on my mini, bare in mind is only the bog standard 998cc with stage 1 kit and alloys declared.

I went to Footman James, they will not insure me anymore and went to Adrian Flux and got it for £172 fully comp , with 7500 miles per year, drive other cars and build no claims, as I lost all mine in a accident and I am 31. Hope this helps Alex

That's bollox. they advertise in the same magazines and sometimes opposite each other. When I phone them and they tell me this, i'll be telling them that I'll be speaking with the financial ombudsman. I don't care for their internal politics, I mearly want a quote from the two seamingly independent insurance companies (that is at least how they put it across) whether they quote exactly the same or not.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Footman James - 5 cars on the same policy, two named drivers, modifications declared, unlimited miles - about £140 a year.

Metric is for people who can't do fractions.

i have been with HIC since turning 19 but this year i got a ridiculous renewal quote so i told them to shove it
gonna wait till im 26 (june) then try again been trying to get it put on my other policy so may endup doing it like that

in the past i been insured with one car on Adrian flux and the other HIC, just dont tell one you got a quote from the other simples

A lot of insurers/brokers are even open on Sunday now as well, so strange to hear you can't get hold of one on a Saturday *oh well*
