The quality of workmanship on the gearbox mod is second to none. But, blanked off reverse? What's the point in that :S On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Is it not missing some covers? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Makes me wonder what else could be cobbled onto an a-series box.

And absolute carnage, the box wouldnt last 5 seconds unless it was a full s/c mega expensive jobbie as per 160bhp+ requirements!

Costing up a sorted k1200 engine is getting frightenting. The fact that It shouldn't screw the weight distribution and driveshaft length can only be a good thing. Anyway probably not doable so I'll stop thinking right away. Edited by minimole23 on 12th Jun, 2013. On 7th Oct, 2010 5haneJ said:

If you put a vtec on an a series box, you wouldn't be able to see the road in front of you... On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Back in "the day" I could see this being a worthwhile mod. However with modern engines, turbo's etc being so accessible it's just a piece of nostalgia.

Would be nice to see it in a period car but other than that I'm not bothered. I remember being one in mini mag a few years back. It was a lotus twin cam mounted on the mini gearbox with twin webers poking out the bonnet. Apparently it's a lot of work to do. |

I remember that one too harry. It was a pretty cool looking car. I also remember reading he used to just buy standard metro gearboxes put em on and trash em then replace with another (gone are those days) If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

Looks gash with webbers poking out the front, one thing I really didn't like about it, maybe with some good small modern itbs under a round nose would look better imo, with a airbox from the front grill area up, alot more descreet and no guff bonnet extension Drives
