Ayup

Ive just been to shell to fill up ready for a trip to the rollers tommorow.

I was down to bugga all in the tank and I put £20 in. Was running fine up to the staition.

drove 1 mile down the road and it started missin at full throttle. Drove around 2 more miles before gettin home and it got worse and worse.

So now it misses at the 1st sight of boost and a little when pulling off. But revs up on the drive fine.

Ive check alot of the obvious things and plugs looked normal.

My tank has the gorse on the pickup thats an inch from the bottom and its a clean tank. And im not getting any form of lean out its just a missfire

Esso for the win shell is very hit and miss even on the diesel from the same station I can get nearly 150 miles variance on a full tank.

All sorted, new fuel and jobs sorted.

Made 176 @ 19psi with quite high intake temps. So im happy

Havent a number lee but alot hotter than normal. Out the intercooler is normally very cold.

its 1293. Forged pistons, benross head and a minisport fast road cam (for now) c/r of around 7.9 and a gt20 turbo.

Ive been nailing it for months now steve. only went for a power run as ive set it up on the road. Need more tho does get a tad hairy on the road from time to time.

I dont suppose you know what size exhaust valves are in my head do you?

29.5mm for reliability. With stelite hardened inserts, eden, if you change the camshaft. To a phase 2 it will really pick the power up right through the power band and the top end say around 10 HP ish..........

I was speaking to nick and he was saying that he noticed a big differnce with 31mm ex valves.

Also wanting to up the size of my exhaust to 2 1/4. Hoping to increase my spool time.

And yes I will be fitting a ph 2

the GT20 is a monster turbo, will hit 35psi although over 25 /28psi and it seemed to run out of puff

Cam timing will also help with lag.

Whats the gt20 like on a mini? Always fancied one but my hybird t3 gives mad power on my 1380 at very little boost, cant justify the swap at the moment

I like my 1293. Easy to keep the c/r low plus 1.3 sounds gd when uve just blown a scooby away

Also dan my cam is at 110 as I get the legs out of it. 1st, 2nd and third it will hit my limiter at 7300

my ph 2 is 105 I think, power is climbing still at the limiter at 7k. I have the graph on here somewhere.
