A guy at work claims he has been in a sub 500kg 400bhp super charged 106/saxo ans that his track car is 570kg 106. Its hard and expencive to get a mini to thoes weights let alone a a larger car like the saxo. Am I being stupid in thinking its utter bull shit and this person is obviously on heroin? Drives

Hmm I can't see how anyone would be able to loose 425kg off of a peugot 106 and have 400bhp without putting a heavier lump in it! Plane and simple he's full of ..... |

same, i never talk about my car unless asked. bit of a shame but i just cant be arsed with the my dads bigger than your dad chat. all that said. 400hp is very do-able out a TU with a turbo, im not so sure any rotrex chargers are going to hit those figures tho(unless things have changed since i last looked in on the 106 scene rotrex were the go-to charger of choice). the weight is bollocks, even if you ran no doors boot bonet or roof you'd struggle im sure. turbo 16v k-series 11.9@118.9 :)

They start out at 800kg? Chop it in 1/2? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Over 800kg my povity spec 1.1 with the lightest engine was more than that.

For instance a couple years back we had our boiler serviced and the bloke was going on an on about his turbo- supercharged mini and telling me that it runs under 10 seconds at santapod

Ditto, don't talk about cars to all and sundry,I have a mini is about as far as I go-just to the select few that want to hear it and without the bs and the reason I like this forum so much is the no bs attitude, its one I use at work too and its served me very well, nothing more tedious than people who just talk shit all the ime, and have Ferrari laptop covers ect ect ect.

i watched that stripping cars program the other night with those laaadaaan monkies on it, they stripped a saxo and crushed the shell iirc the bare shell was 560kg so unless the running gear, engine/box, interior glass and fuel weigh the same as air i would say he's a knob Crystal Sound Audio said:

sounds all a bit like 'bloke down pub said' to me. However, there is a 106 in this months practical performance car; not read the article yet but it has some fairly wild figures quoted (390bhp). not read it yet so can't say anymore |

The 390bhp is now 414bhp its got a c20let under the bonnet, he has a metro as well Drives
