I was looking at getting a street triple a while ago, but at that time they were so high in demand that the dealer wouldn't budge at all...
Hmmm, Well that's a strange noise O.O |

my advice is don't get one ........... there's too many buffoon's on the road to knock you off it, I don't want to piss on your dream or bonfire but winters coming and last month my best friend go killed on one a woman reversed on to a main road and he hit her, he had no chance

the time of year is exactly what i was thinking, and mostly why i am getting one now & that i will have more playing power. not that i may use it much if that makes sense, although im sure there will be the odd day when i do use it.

I,m an old fart with 50+ years on bikes but if your only experience ion two wheels is a scooter and you are looking at 120mph bikes then can I suggest a bit of extra training perhaps ?

Benross is clearly anti bikes with good reason, but he does have a point. No matter how good you are (or maybe think you are -not you Taz) its the other buggers that will kill you. The tripe engine is a good, forgiving engine that sounds awesome and the chassis is probably the best on the market. All in all a well handling bike that does everything well. I had a 2011 Daytona that i used to use for road/trackdays, it was superstock spec, Got the S1000 now and i miss the 675.

I phoned about a 675R about 6 months ago and he refused to budge on price, left him my number and told him to do better, Funnily enough i got a phone call 3 days later with a 500 reduction in price! |

That was my thoughts exactly, that's the main reasons i got the BMW. If you go for the R then they don't like to drop the price as they claim they are in limited supply, not sure about the SE or the standard bike though. When i bought mine (Daytona SE) in 2011 it was supposed to be 8,300 i think and i got it for 7750 with 675 worth of free leathers. I just rang around the dealerships and played one off another. I couldn't get any better than that. |

Nice choice of bike, I prefer a fared bike myself. As for experience I passed my test in march, after doing my CBT the october before. I had a 125 all winter and the week after passing my test I got a YZF600 Thundercat. I love it. It took a while to get the hang of. Then in June I rode to Le Man on it and last month a track day at Rockingham.

It only takes one person not to see you, but you take a chance getting up in the morning, crossing the road or putting your face in a fan. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

From my experience people only ever pull out on me when i'm going too fast in the first place. Its hard to ride a 600/1000cc sports bike at 30mph. |

Anyway i was at 40mph before i knew it and not that anyone was danger as its massive but they are hard to ride at 30mph :) |

Nice one. You will have to put some pictures up and a bit of a review. Which triumph did you go for? The speed triple? |

The speed triple? will defiantly do that! wondering if i should get a camera for my helmet as everyone seems to be doing it these days :p went for the street triple r in the end. the speed triple is just a bit to big in my eyes (and the price tag) and the street is a nice size; plus more than enough for more with 100 shetlands for me to start slow and learn on. I went for the R as as this is a bike i want to keep for the foreseeable future and play with i thought why get the normal when i will probably want the uprated shocked etc etc later. |
