SHould i go ahead and dream up a couple of banner designs, with the view of ordering 1?

i think having a bunch of sneezing mini's a bunch of pissheads and someone puking there guts up would be a good enough banner lol

the first place i got a quote from does detailed designs, which means we can have pics of cars! the only downer is the total cost it £107

thats for a banner sized 8ft by 2ft

i'd say something simple like just the 'turbominis' wording off the flyers alex sorted out would do it, probably keep the price down a treat to

they look totally amateur, and if you're going to be looking at a banner at a show, its very likely that all our cars will be parked next to it anyway.

I'd agree with Alex, if we bother to get a banner made up, it should just have the text layout and logo of the window stickers on it I reckon.

if a banner is to be done i would say keep it simple and just have the site name in the same font

Keeping it simple is probably best, but it needs some kind of info on what the sites about.

A mix of the last two designs would look good.

I hope that you take this as I intend it, as I don't mean to be rude, but the design above does look a bit amateur-ish, and really, doesn't fit with the rest of the site.

I am sure you will agree that Alex makes a big effort to keep the site looking as professional as possible, along with any other "promotional" type material that goes with it. This includes the stickers made last year, and more recently the flyers that Alex had professionally printed in time for Retro Cars. In order to keep any banner up to the same standard, my opinion would be that it needs someone who is good at graphic design to draft some ideas out.

I hope that does not come across as harsh, 10 out of 10 for enthusiasm, I could do no better myself, but it isn't really fitting with the rest of the stuff that goes with TM.

You also have to remember that anything with www.turbominis.co.uk on it is ultimately a representation of Alex, as he is a budding internet website design type wizard, he has to keep things looking professional as its his bread and butter at the end of the day, so his word is final. Even if he does chunder all over the place from time to time.

ah now i see, i dont take it harsly i personally didnt like it anyway, my personal favourites were 1 and 4 but everyone was saying they wanted simple, so i did a simple one and they still didnt like it.

The only reason i want a banner is because the fact that when my car is complete, i feel it should only be on the turbo minis stand at the shows, as this is the only site that has given me help etc etc.

but from what i can see from the retro pics the stand was just a load of cars with an A4 piece of paper provided by the organisers that said turbo minis. then just a row of cars.

just thought the site could do with a bit more credit at the shows
