Noticed today that MED are busy developing kits and associated parts for twincams *smiley*. Bit late to the party but very interested to see what they come up with. Already seem to me making Pistons, valves, head studs, throttle bodies, gaskets and their kits are in development....

http://www.med-engineering.co.uk/news/at-m...bodies-in-stock

http://www.med-engineering.co.uk/catalogue...w-k-head-gasket

I'm thinking about trying out the gasket for my upcoming turbo build as i could do with the extra 5cc. Doesnt look as good quality as the cometic, but reckon its probably worth a shot...

They've probably had a customer ask them to build a K head engine and are just incorporating the parts they've made into they're range.

"1460cc steel engine" probably means all the internals, crank, rods, main caps etc not the block.

Throttle bodies look familiar and I suspect you'll find other parts will be too..............

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Where are the TBs from then? They aren't the SC ones...

They are made by AT Power, supplied by both SC & MED. Med have been using AT Power for their 7 Port for a few years. SC seem to have gone to a different supplier for their new 7 port TB's and SPI setup though. Not sure why.

Looking on their website, SC doesn't seem to do AT power at all anymore, even the K head throttles have changed.

I take your point with the head gasket but £120, surely you could get one made yourself for a lot less

Instead, just make yourself a template so you can convert a BK450 to the K-stud spacing in a few minutes with a drill / dremel

i see, makes sense. Anyone know what thickness the BK450? Also, seems too good to be true. I've always gone with expensive head gaskets and never had a problem, but for £100 saving, its perhaps worth the risk.....

The most powerful & quickest proven K1100 motor on this site uses a BK450, so it's proven.
