I'm looking for a set of 10" wheels suitable for a Mk1 style car. So something like a Minilite, Dunlop D1 or Mamba style.

Don't think you can fit anny within the arch without covers with this set up you can do anything if you set your mind to it...

Nothing comes to mind apart from 4½" genuine Minilites with an S offset.

Minispares minilife you can just squeeze without arches, I ran them with my Fiesta 7.9's, I'm not sure they would fit with my Kad's as the Kad's are tight on a set of Carls wheels.
I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Mambas won't fit unless the brakes are 7.5s BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races! |

Looks like Minispares Minilife or the Rose Petals are an option but either out of stock or lots of dosh.

for the look the rose petals will be worth it... even if they are a tad on the expensive side... it will be worth it, the wheels really make a car, IMO I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

I've just had a study of the likelihood of the tyre tread being outside of the arch and it would appear that the narrowest bit of bodywork is just above the rear bumper. If the tread is going to be exposed then that's the worst point.

Get some cheep steels with rubber band tyres for the test. If it's not too noticable on the road chances are you will be fine. On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

mine were more over the edge than not as using the Fiesta brakes the drive flanges pushes the wheels out and I passed the chrome trim stuff did help a little. I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

The minispares ones are a faithful reproduction, with the correct off-set etc . The midland ones are a copy of those. If you want a genuine wheel to go on your perfect Mk1 mini buy the MS ones. If you want to save £200 and have pretty much the same look go to MWS. Fastest 998 mini in the world? 13.05 1/4 mile 106mph

Personally, I'd spend the extra on the Mini Spares wheels instead of the MWS ones.

My wheels stuck out miles before and not once did a copper look at me funny or pull me for it, I'm sure it's more a law matter than an mot matter, but I'm not going to risk it again, most of the reason was that I couldn't decide on what arches I wanted! Shauna's stick out maybe a couple mm on 3.5x10s on 7.5 discs and that's been fine.

I hate the arches of the tyres law. If it wasn't for that I'd love an old hotrod. Open wheels ☺ BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races! |

Add camber like the cool kids to to get their wheels in, other option possibly is to try and flare the arches? Then you can still run without arches but have the clearance for wheels you like. Drives

A mate had a set from MWS running 's' discs and needed a spacer to clear which comes with the wheels. As a consequence he then needed arches to then cover the exposed tyre.
