ok still a bit confused the higher the turbine a/r the higher up the rev range the turbo will kick in right? or is it in relation to the compressor trim? the reason i ask is that the t2 suffers from less lag/inertia yet the turbine ar is bigger, i read dave's post a while back and remember him saying its mainly due to the lower inertia of the t2 family turbo shaft but am still confused can someone correct me before i buy some piece of crap! |

been looking at a t25 with a .64 this should be ok right and spool up a little faster? is it right that you cant get uprated parts for t2's, whats a stage 2 r5 turbo then, sorry i actually want to know, not being funny |

If it spools up quick - it isn't going to be a 0.64 guaranteed... On 17th Nov, 2014 Tom Fenton said:

going by that link do the t25's have t3 shafts as surely this would defeat the point for example "Compressor - 45 trim T3 wheel with 0.48 A/R T25 diffuser Turbine - 1.77" wheel (62 trim), 0.49 A/R T25 housing" what difference does the trim make in relation to the ar?

on the T25 i've got in the garage i can assure that the compressor is nothing like the compressor wheel of the T3, neither is the turbine wheel

Im going to give my rover T25 a blast soon as well. ive also got a R5 turbo to try. then whichever works the best give it a good rebuild to get 100% out of it.
