Right I've been to see Mike Barratt this dinner to sort a rolling road day.

For those that don't know Mike Barratt is often featured with his new injection systems in Miniworld and really know his minis.

He is based in Lincoln.

We provisionally booked Good Friday. 9th April. Is this any good? (Dave, that ok for the mag feature?)

Mike said that 15 cars minimum would be best and in a day could cater for around 25 cars for purely power runs. Im sure with the knowledge we hope to have there there maybe some time for tweaking in the car park and depending on numbers the possibility for extra runs.

Price is going to be circa ?10-15 +vat for a power run so nice and cheap really. Thats aslong as we get 15cars plus. The more the cheaper!

Its primarily for turbo's but NA cars are welcome if there are available spaces (Im not 100% if have a turbo but will definately be taking a slightly tuned car)

I need definate replies, no maybes plus with the price being paid via cheque prior to the event (Full amount since its cheap). Therefore i can pay Mike before the event to show we really mean business. I know sometimes rolling road days can be a case of no show.

Be good to see some good cars there so a comparison can be made between them all not just power figures from differing rollers. It will be a good even match!

Ps I do have spare beds and garage space for those travelling a long way. Im sure we can accomadate a fair few people and there is even space for tenting. :cool:

I reckon i might try and get the project car back on the road temporarily with the 1380 i've been putting together, might not be turbo, but be good to meet up with some other members.

Oh and also good to see how much power the 1380 has!!

Anyways i havnt got my phone on me at the mo till about half 4, while i was at MBE i dropped it and luckily somebody picked it up and phoned my house so im going to collect it!

So far we have 3 definates.

Will be first come first serve for sleeping space but i've got 2 houses i can use that are both 3 bedroom'd so should get yb for space. Parking isnt as good but should be able to sort something out. Maybe even in security compund at work might be a plan.

Put me down for it!

I'll also book a roon if I may! I'm sure Jim will have a room if he hasn't phoned you alreay.

Parking is a good point... I'll be coming up in a transit with a trailor and Jim's in a turck!

Sure we can find somewhere to park them overnight. There is a fair bit of space at mine is just that its a long way down the garden from the house so security isnt obviously the best, but if people are camping then the grass is down the bottom which will mean it should be secure with people camping next to their car.

If nobodies camping then we'll have to sort something else out. Sure we can find something somewhere for free

So thats 4 definates, only 11 more to go.

If we only get say 10 ill ring mike and see if he wants to do tuning aswell (upto the individual aswell) for a bit extra since there should be more time.

in fear of sounding very stupid, what kind of area of the country is lincolnshire??

im interested if its not too far and if my car will be together in time, i wont know the latter until a few weeks though, whens the deadline to say yes?

Its east midlands, its about 50ish miles from york at a guess. Not all that far really.

Thats not exactly where it is but within about a mile. Im 15miles down the road for those that want to stay over DN21 5ET

My house to Elvington is 57miles 1hr 20mins

My house to york is 70 miles 1hr 26mins

Not miles away compared to how far some of you are travelling so a good overnight stop really!

Yes it's about the same mileage for me Mark.

I'm not expecting big power this early in the year as it normaly takes me a few months to sort things out and get it going well. So if I see over 1-0 is should be good
