i should fooking hope so it says its brand new.

I'd have thought it'd be way too big for our engines though?

Why exactly would you want a bigger turbocharger?

What benifits will it give to a 1.3litre engine?

Less restriction, more cooler boost, more power.....

Still wanna know if it'll fit?

Mitsi Evo 7, 911, Cossie. & all the chavs ...... won no problem

the standard T3 is more than capable of enough flow to exceed 230hp

the fitment of the turbo you propose!
would only increase the lag to a whole new dimension*laughing**laughing*

you would not be happy with the car *frown**frown*

with this little A series puffing on it trying to induce boost!

it would be like putting your foot down, place the kettle on have a brew and then jumping in the car and your away!

Try it out.

I suspect it would work a lot better if your intercooler was bigger though

Any turbo could be made to fit, and as has been said it will bolt straight to the manifold. But nobody on this forum has tried one and for good reason.

I think there are two main camps on this forum:

Those who think the Metro T3 is too "big" and run T2s;

And those who think the R5GTT T2 is too "small" and run the Metro T3.

Obviously there are exceptions, but not many think the T3 is too "small".

Forget about a T34 and if you want to spend £400 on a turbo speak to Mirage who has a range of turbos sized specifically for the humble mini.

Although, I'm not sure if any one has tried one, but the figures all look good.

Nice. Fighting talk that...
Wind your neck in son, and take a hint.

1071s Peter - you're forgetting simple logic.
'28' is a smaller number than '34'
SO, the 34 will make more power. It's that simple. *laughing*

Ive got a few intercoolers sat in my garage thankyou.

"Who am I to comment?" A moderator on this forum for one, true on my setup at Avon Park last year I didnt run an intercooler - through lack of time after my old shells preparation. I certainly will be running an intercooler next year.
Secondly I'm a degree level engineering student - not graduated yet, but only 1 year to go*smiley*

I will not however be running an oversized intercooler such as your own which has more dissadvantages than advantages on our relativly small capacity engines. I recomend you do some background research into forced induction before you get your chequebook out in future as big and shiney is not always best.

Which also applies to that very large turbocharger. If you do some research and background reading (i'm not talking degree level engineering research just forced induction basics) You will find why no one else has bothered to try and turbocharger such as this on an A-series engine.

By the way - my 14.4 wasnt a fantastic speed at avon, it came 6th out of 22 competing in the class though and considering it was in a full weight road car and the engine was only running at 10psi (new engine-build you see) It was really not that bad.

and finally im not trying to sound like i'm Mr Know it all, or a top runner in class D, cause im clearly not. Just do some basic research and you will anser most of your own questions *happy*

Well said Dan.

14.4sec in my opinion was a very respectable time for a turbo mini, as justified by the fact you came 6th in class, with the majority of the cars in front of yourself being lightweight specials built especially for drag racing etc, and yours being a full-fat road car.

14.4 is an awsome time given it is a full fat road car on mild boost....

Mild boost.....sounds like a curry LOL!

I will be running my car in on korma psi, then will add an intercooler and turn it up to jalfrezi psi.

Maybe after that I shall set it up on the rollers to vindaloo psi just in case.....
