I guess an intercooler and some mapped ignition will help stop the detonation.

hi kazjim just wondering what sort of valve you are using for your water/meth injection. I have the same sort of set up with an IHI turbo and water/meth. Problem i am having is the engine is sucking the water/meth thru when it is not on boost. It is great for dragging but round town it is a pain in the ass. I am looking for some sort of 12v switching valve. Caution !!!! Slippery when boosting |

i have found a solutuion to my problem. I am now using a check valve from a fish tank pump which prevents back flow. Works well but will have to see how it handles the methanol Caution !!!! Slippery when boosting |

well looks like i'll be back to the dyno again then. i really need to get the carbs properly sorted. I still have a few things i cold do to the engine. An external wastegate wouldn't be a bad idea. BTW where can i see the head number then i can post it up. Caution !!!! Slippery when boosting |

well its differently been built for power. I've wound the boost back on it for street driving and for its warrent of fitness. I will be putting in switchable boost soon. Just rebuilding the dash at the moment, keeping on top of a little rust and pricing up some new tyres. I can't imagine why.
