i just pulled my front engine to bits and find the said bush stuck on the tail ,i am using the MSS floating bush type idler ,so i have no idea how long its been seized as it would still run on the inside of the gear.this is the first time ive ever had one stick fast.

i got one of the first floating ones off keith .. that one seized up ... it was the radi on the crank being slightly different on the turbo crank, but as TD did mention to him .. but he wasa haveing none of it ... anyway i little tickle on the lathe had it sorted .. Everyone knows that instructions only have to be read if the thing doesn't work....

Ive had a keith Calver one for 3 years, touch wood no probs yet, but i did have to machine it to accept the turbo crank radius. Keith did say it may need machining. Because of what its made of it didnt need soaking in oil as it is self lubricating.
I seriously doubt it! |

Definately needs the chamfer adding for the radius found on the 'turbo' or A+ cranks...

Kinda - there is a radius on the crank, so i put a chamfer onto the edge that would contact this radius.

Then I understand.. I've got the bush in my engine as well. Looked great when I opened it this last winter.

Cant really coment more than what hoggy origanally put!! There were some tiny bronze shavings around the oil holes on the primary gear but cant work out why it had worn around the step on the crank where the bush runs??

So what's the general opinion on these? I've got a bit of pitting on my primary bush. I understand thank there isn't a problem if it's chamfered to accept the turbo crank? Cheers Ron |

Well Ron, i ended up sticking the floating bush into the gear with bearing fit after it seized for the second time, it must be still working fine as iv'e had no clutch problems and the engines been in there 3 years now,
