It's a long time since I messed about with RC cars (ok, well six years!) but this is without doubt, one of the best video's i've ever seen on the net...

My advice - save it to your disc, then watch it...
And again. and again!

Radio range can be upto a mile (upwards). Simply the thing will be out of sight before out of range.

I gave up on R/C cars years ago. I still tinker with RC planes and submarines.

I already have given one a good home, Still buy them but i'd rather just build em than use them. Got about 6 at the moment all sat on shelfs.

No its on a dirt track

They probably have a 1/2 mile range. But at 1/8 scale you cant see them after 100 yards. they aint cheap either. I have over $2000 in the Savage. Get good money if you finish first though.

psml i remember the days prior to inferno`s i had a Stinger 10th scale which i wedged an irvine 15 in it.... but later got into racing quite big and baught a mugen athlete and then a laro F-ing ballistic ! i used to race electrics up and down the country, if you guys think the minis are expensive jesus i spent the same on me model cars as i did on me rally x ! full carbon fibre tub chassis, the works i worked for a model shop at the time so got stuff cheap..... i even had carbon fibre prop shafts and abs brakes on one of em, mind u it was powered by the OS rx 15 :)
Iain i hated the couger 2000 they were pants on the indoor polished surface,...... now the old Couger 2 that was a car ! the only schumacher cars i had were the couger and the procat, with the crash back front (very handy)

SAD !!!!! :)

I might bring mine along!! ha ha!

Yeah i used to race outside on grass and it was pretty good as it was fairly light. had some serious modding though, carbon bits were plentiful!

I got the later of the cougar 2000's, the 95 team i think which was massively improved from the first ones.

Modded it with my own front suspension which was more lay down and it handled much better.

Best stop before i look sad... *happy*
