Yea, I knew about Tony Wells, but I'm pretty sure he's not on 10s.

Perhaps the person that told you the tyres will spin on the rims was looking at a nova with spinners on it!

the only time the tyre might spin is if your running lessthan about 10 psi to try to get more traction. On 28th Aug, 2011 Kean said:

I think you can get the wheels to spin in the tyres using a early non progressive nitrous kit, slicks and sticky tarmac

i think there was a 16v kad mini in one of the mags a while ago, which was on 13's because allegedly the tyres were ripped off on 10's (on slicks)

Whoever said that the tyres spin on the wheels on a mini is talking fluff. Tyres walk a bit on the rims on 5000bhp fuelers, but even then not all the time. Have a look: http://www.vintageminiracing.com/viewtopic.php?t=400 Also, on dragsters, the tyres are bolted to the rims so they don't move at all! Edited by Vegard on 9th Feb, 2006. they use bead locks on the autograss cars, but that not to stop the tyre spining on the rim, but to stop it getting pushed off, and losing the air. On 15th May, 2009 TurboDave said:
