Just a brief race report from today, I am sure JF will make his usual full report soon enough.

A lovely day at Oulton Park, glorious weather, I have got burnt to buggery on my arms and neck!

Qualifying at approx 9.30am, the weather was dry and sunny but not too hot yet, this suiting the turbocharged cars.

This round as there have been previously there was an invitation "Class D" car, this was running full slick tyres, an 1800cc VVC K series engine on throttle bodies etc, a quick car!

Jon had a good dice with the class D car in qualifying, the class D driver was quick down the straights with his extra power but a bit lacking on the twisty bits!

Result of qualifying was JF on 2nd grid position, 1/10th of a second behind the aforementioned class D car.

In the race despite a couple of do or die moments with JF briefly snatching the lead, the class D car won, although only by a couple of seconds, from JF who finished 2nd, although taking full championship points. Jon also managed to post the quickest lap of the race, 3/10ths of a second quicker than the class D car.

Yep, best race to date, led just for maybe half a mile, outbraked him into the first chicane(foulstons) and stormed down the inside taking the lead. His Big power pulled him along side in the next complex(knickerbrook), did a bit of paint swapping and i retook the lead.

Fantastic day out.

3 seconds off the lap record to!

Realised it was Oulton, was wondering if it was on long or short circuit. Great circuit.

Good result John.

Nice one Jon. Interestingly that lap time was what James may set in a TVR on Top Gear last night, and I bet he had 4 times your BHP.
