Well a nice quiet night in the garage tuther day, i have set the end float on me idler (4 thou) and it is lined up with the first motion perfectly, however my primary only has 12 thou (haynes reckons 35 - 65 thou) this sounds hideaously loose ? has anyone any advice on this ? this is the first time i have done this bit as all my other stuff had the right thrusts for the right primarys (ie all me engines had matched drop gears end casings for each crank/block) which is how i bought them from the previous bloke.

35-65 thou is rediculous. Are you sure it's not 3,5 to 6,5 On 13th Jul, 2012 Ben H said:

0.0035 - 0.0065 ? am i cracking up ? i thought the same it would be all over the place, but these numbers are a direct lift from the book, have i misunderstood these figures to be 35 thou or is it as you say 3.5 thou ?

number 4 and the slither (super ultra fine one which isnt numbered) feeler gauge so its 4.5 thou i believe, it lines up nicely with the first motion, the primary is just under 6 thou, the remit is 3.5 to 6.5 so i think i will leave it at that, i have bolted the block onto the box and just popped the end casing on, but i am getting there. will post some pics up in a second.

well a lil bit more progress, mounted the fuel pump and completed the lines fitted the reg, and fitted me exhaust. I still need a small bit of pipe from the tank to the pump and a P clip to secure the return and it should be good. the other black pipe is injection fuel line so should be ok "he says"

might want something on the rubber pipes where they go throught the floor in case of them rubbing? just a thought, i am not sure if they will rub or not but on the safe side.

divnt kna. she will never go up the strip, i reckon she will be done for avon 08 but its a hell of a drive to take her just to park up and ponce about. once the lump is back in i will go through to Bogg Brothers in Malton and get it rolling roaded going to have to set it up with the dizzy then put me MJ kit in glad i kept a few 1100 rads so i can run that until i get rid of the dizzy :) there is still loads to do MOT wise. i have sorted me V5 carbunkle out and DVLA are posting it out to me, i had to fill in a few forms and send away the export cert and v5c, but all seems ok. i have to get me first tax disc from the local dvla office for some reason though
