is slot vs holes the difference between forged pistond and the other types then will they be ok for me if so i shall order some this week thanks jack Slots vs Holes has nothing to do with whether a piston is cast or forged, it's simply how they machine the casting/forging after it's been cast or forged...... The ones from Aus all seem to be cast, but the cast ones with holes will be considered by most people, to be better than cast ones with slots. Forged would be better still (usually) and would probably only come with holes, but forged means more expensive. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

I wonder if these are chinese? Taiwan actually... http://www.rightway.com.tw/english/edefault.htm But why the concern ??? If they have state of the art equipment, processes and design (which they will as their Government supports it, unlike over here) then why should they be "bad" ??? There is an awful lot of "bad" stuff that comes from "China" but usually from companies of dubious origin or just plain counterfit. Although yet to be proven on turbo, all the comments from Oz suggest these are a very good buy. Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ??? |

Note to everyone who is thinking about buying the +120 thou 998 pistons, they have 080 stamped on them. This caused me to have an oh shit moment when I unwrapped mine, but after measuring them I can confirm they are +120 as advertised. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:
