"Hit the pit lane limiter" what a mistake to make especially after such a great over take.

But perhaps not such a big mistake as pressing the button(s) for a grid start sequence of the gearbox computer as (allegedly) Lewis did on last years final race which cost him a lot more than one place...

Schrödinger's cat - so which one am I ???

F1 is going back to BBC in 2009. No more bloody annoying adverts!!!!!!
Hopefully Brundle will go to BBC. Good having ex-drivers commentating. :)

Poor old button - thought he might get into the top 10.
Still, at 11 he can choose his own strategy now, so if it rains that might help.

Poor old Heidfeld on his flying lap. That would be amusing if they penalise the others for blocking. Imagine the grid then!
I think the only way to stop what happened, is to stop all timings after the qualifying time has finished. Tough if you've started a lap with only a few seconds left.

Or: Inlaps have to be within 10% of your full speed
Or, even better: Fuel used in session 3 doesnt make any different to the fuel you can start on.

Good idea Alex.
Just noticed both Mclarens have got 5 place penalty. There were others, but I think they were on his racing line. Well deserved.

Sort of, yes for the racing line. But the FIA change the rules and didn't think of the consequences, they saw everyone finished their quali last week and coasted back, shouldn't it have occured to them last week that that might cause a problem?!

Seems like the governing body's "McLarens must not be allowed to win at any cost" season has started early this year...

And the money keeps rolling in....

I have to agree with you both, but I've never liked Mclaren. Feel sorry for the drivers though.
