Lee are you ready to fit one to yours? I've just seen that Hazpalmer won't be back for another week or so.

I have all the flanges machined, flares and bosses ready. I've trial fitted it to mine, and it's spot on to what I made before and fitted perfectly, so once I know it fits without subframe mods. I can get the pipes ordered and welded up over the next couple of weeks.

I'll need to know what size centre section people are using to be able to order up to appropriate adapters, but I'll sort that out at the same time as sorting where people want the lambda bosses to be positioned.

I have been looking into it, if the 2.25" pipe works I'll see if its possible to squeeze a flexi in there too. It'll be more like 65mm where the flexi is so it might have to go behind the gear linkage.

Ok, do you want a lambda boss and if so where would you like it welding on? Also what size reducer do you need?

Either where the DP comes over where the block and gearbox meet pointing towards the flywheel housing or as the elbow bends around (should clear the steady) for the lambda.

My current exhaust pipe is 2"

How long do you reckon mate?

Cheers

I can get the boss welded on tomorrow evening, either location should fit fine. I'll offer it up on my engine and see the best place to clear the steady. I have mine on the elbow and from memory there's plenty of room all around.

I'll get the reducer ordered up tomorrow, so it should be ready by the weekend. I'll also get a flexi too, to see how big they are. My main concern is clearance for the flexi at the most benificial point (just after bend by subframe). If it needs to go behind the selector then it won't do a great deal.

Here's the finished downpipe with lambda boss and reducer to fit either 2" or 1 3/4" centre section.

I've ordered a flexi to see what size it is on the OD and its 80mm! It may fit in but not 100% certain yet until its tried with the gear linkage in place.

King Gaycharger, butt plug dealer, Sheldon Cooper and a BAC but generally a niceish fella if you dont mind a northerner

Rotherham, South Yorkshire

We had a much bigger flexi than that on the upside down skip and it cleared the selectorno bother.

Hi Matty,

Just checked my exhaust and the play mini center section seems to be ID 1 7/8" does this sound right?

On 24th Mar, 2014 matty said:
Nick, the downpipes are £150. The first one is now complete, apart from finding out if where Hazpalmer wants his lambda boss. Due to many people using different size centre sections I can supply them with either a reducer to 2" or 1 3/4" which will be welded onto the downpipe ready for a clamp joint to centre section.

Pics...to follow when my photobucket starts working! As I can't work out how to do IMG codes on my iPad I've just attached them. Lol

If its 1 7/8 ID then it's most likely going to be near as damn 2" OD. The reducer on my downpipes are made to slide over the centre section. So it'll be best to measure the OD of your centre section, just so there is no confusion.
