Oh dear. Let us know the outcome.

Possibly carbon arches for a future change.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Made a start on bastardising some Aluminium into a grille. Uncle Carl made me some spangly head light rings ages ago.

I plan to slap some alu flat bar around it to fill the hole up.

Need to add a slight bend in the centre of all the rungs and then cut to size. Hopefully it will work and look good.

Thanks. What are peoples thoughts on putting chicken wire type grille mesh (not actual chicken wire) behind and painting the mesh satin black?

Personally i'd have painted the grille black anyway, but that is just me.

A fine mesh at the back may work well. I suppose you can trial it and see what it looks like

I have some F1 mesh in mine as I found I nice big stone in my rad after its 1st outing. If it works for Lewis it will me *happy*

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

That top one is just expanded metal and is really naff.

The diamond mesh is expensive but make sure you get chromed stainless as the plain stainless looks dull by comparison.

I saw daves (tadge) grill today with the lower mesh and it looks much nicer then the other stuff. Looks stronger too, that aluminium expanded stuff isn't the strongest.

I might have that off you Brett. I reckon I would paint it matt/satin black to hide it a bit.
